Rachel and I went to do Hansen Stadiums today..they kinda sucked. Warmed up with an 800, ran a stadium, 800, stadium, 800, stadium, and then cooled down with an 800. Took about an hour afterwards to stretch and just relax. Stadiums probably wern't the best idea for my hip, it was feeling kinda iffy after, so tomorrow I might chill and just go for a bike ride.

Easy 3 with Liz today! We talked about some very interesting stuff, and just had a blast. My lower back is starting to hurt a little bit, but I don't know if it's from running or something else. Hopefully something else and I'll be fine in a little bit!

Went 3 miles to hot nails, and then came back and added a mile around the 800 loop. I'm still feeling pretty good about my running, i'm where I should be mileage wise && my body isn't giving me too many troubles. So this could be a very good track season!

First work out of the season! 1.5 warm & cool with two 1000's on the track. We hit our exact time the first one (4:24) and the 2nd one we were a few seconds faster. Felt super good!

Fun trail run today! Kinda sucked at first, but then afterwards chilled and just attacked the hills one at a time. Took turns leading every 400 meters on the way back. Ended up being a way fun run(:

todays run was legitally fun. Got a small warm up in and then took 12 minutes at a 7 min. tempo pace. It was hard at first cuz we wern't completely warmed up, but about 5 minutes into it we were able to relax and realized that that pace wasn't as hard as we thought. We went about a mile and a half..maybe two? but it felt pretty nice and we had a way good pack! Afterwards we did a loop around my house, and then went straight up old man hills and took the neighborhood back to the High School.

2 Mile Warm and cool, with a Kosmin test in-between. Took them as hard as I thought I could, but the last one I still had a ton more energy then I thought i would so I gave it all and did better than I thought I would be able to. Ended up making it 3 loops and about 100 meters (1280). Mia made me go with her and the boys for the cool down which really was just another work out in itself, but it was still nice to be able to run with some new people for a change.

Best day of the week today: Easy 3. Mia and I ran with the boys for the first 1.5, and then chilled for a sec, sprinted back up to them, and then finished it all out with the boys team. We started and finished with them, and that's all that counts, so were good!

on a different note, I figured out from the Kosmin test yesterday that my mile times I could be hitting is 5:25. I didn't think much of it at first, but then I really started to think about it and realized that that's what I want to do this year. That's what I want my goal to be. I told some people in my family and they laughed at me saying that it's impossible for me to be able to do that and not get injured. But that just gave me more of a reason to do it. So my goal this track season: Qualify for State in the Mile.

The run this morning was freezing! We had to wake up at 7 for it, cuz Mia had to be somewhere at 9. It was Lizl, Ali, Mia, Megan, Carly, and I. We took the Green Springs Route all the way to the trail and then turned around and started our a little bit before the 5 mile mark. My Garmin was acting a little weird, it kept jumping from a 6:45 pace to a 6:15 ish pace. But we stayed the same, so I don't know what was up with that. Our average speed was probably around 6:20, we got up to where we needed to be on the down-hill, but the up-hill we dropped back to about a 6:30 pace. But i felt like I was full on sprinting the whole time, so i couldn't go much faster than I was going. We finished right at the first light, and went exactly 1.5 Miles. My hip was hurting a little bit after, but hopefully this break will fix it.

3 Thousands today, we hit about a 4:03, 4:05, and then a 3:47 ish I think. 1.5 warm and cool with weights after. Felt pretty good, starting to have some pain in my hip, so i'll probably have to back off a little bit and do some cross training this week.

2 Mile warm-up with an 18 min. tempo. Supposed to go at a 6:25 pace, but ended up being about a 6:48. I still feel like i pushed it pretty hard, but next time i know I can stay up with them. 2 ish mile cool down

Tempo run today with 8 miles total. I did alright with my tempo, got around 6:42, which is the worst I've done..but with how i was feeling I did alright. I pushed it as hard as I could, and started catching up in the end..but in the middle i lost it and fell back.

Ran with Ali, Mia, and Liz this morning. Felt pretty good, but I didn't quite get my time for our tempo. 10 minutes at about a 6:23 pace. i tried going faster, but my race pace is usually around 6:30, so it's pretty hard to get much faster than that, but i'll get it eventually.

Four thousands with 1.5 warm and cool. Hit 3:57, 4:04, 3:53, and 4:01. Didn't get them where I wanted, but i'm just glad I stuck in it. For a while I thought I wasn't going to be able to finish the work out cuz of some pains i'm having in my lower back and hips..but it's over and i did it.

18 minutes of tempo today. Got a 6:51 average pace. I finally got my energy back and was about to get a deacent push in, but for sure not my best time. We had a super good pack and finished it off with a cool down around DI.

Harts warm and cool with 10 two hundreds in between. We were supposed to hit 41 seconds for them, but the first two we got around a 45. Then we picked it up and hit either 41 or 40 for about 5 of them, then picked it up and started getting 39, 38..then the last one we killed and got a 35. Ended up being a way good work out, and then did weights after to finish it all up.

Dog Town Half Marathon today with Lizl! Felt pretty great, and we kept a constant pace the whole time. Ended with a 1:45.40, around where I hoped to be. Not too much pain in my body, mainly just stiff. Took an easy mile-ish cool down after. Over all super glad I did it! A lot more fun than I thought it would be!

Easy 3 with four fartlicks. Ran around Sanbergs with some of the youngsters, and we just had a fun time with it. Jumped in a few different places, and found the place we liked most! Felt pretty good, my hip isn't giving me any pain from the half marathon, mainly it's just stiff so i'm taking this week easy so I don't jack anything up.

1.5 warm and cool with five 400's in-between. supposed to get around a 1:22 for all of them. started with a 1:21, 1:23, 1:23, 1:22, and then a 1:18. I was able to hit a little faster times just because I was only allowed to do half the work out. Today was my last day taking it easy, start of next week i'm allowed to go back into all our workouts.

For the most part this run was pretty fun. Half way up the mountain it kind of sucked, but after we got to the top then it was worth it. Mia and I ran this together, and we just had a good run with perfect weather. My back hurt a little bit after, but nothing to mess with my running.

I was a little late to practice, so I only got a mile warm up in and then jumped right into 400's. Did twelve of them, and my average time would've been around 1:26-1:27ish. I hit a pretty consistant pace, and was able to push the last one pretty hard. After we got towards the last few my back just started killing me. Every step brought a stab of pain through my back. But I finished the work out, so i'm glad I was able to do that since I only did 5 last time. Finished with 1 mile as a cool down. I felt like I was gonna die after that, so I just stuck with the 1 mile.

Easy 4, and four striders. I'm starting to do half of the striders and half of the 200's just to test my hip, and in a couple weeks if my hip holds i'll move into doing all of it. I felt fine during it. A little bit of pain later, but nothing that'll mess me up.

Took a hard 5 miles today. It was just a little bit slower than my race pace, and I felt soo good! Lately I haven't felt like running very much, and after the track meet I think I finally got my motivation back. I'm excited to get back out and start doing work outs with the girls again. The only problem on this run was the top of my left foot again. It never fully got better, but now it's really just starting to bug me. So i've gotta get that checked out, but other than that I hope I can get back into things and start racing soon!

2 Mile warm up, and a 1 mile race. I felt fine during the race, just didn't seem to have the energy I needed to finish the last lap strong, or I could've broke 6. Cooled down about half a mile ish, and then later raced a 400. I got a 1:10 for that, so it's not the best time, but i raced the best I could. I gave it everything I had, I'm just not built as a sprinter. But it was fun to try out something new!

The wind was insane today, so we switched up the workout a little bit. I felt fine before the run, but right as I started I had some of the pain back from the race. After about half a mile it went away, but after I got a little more than a mile into the run then I started getting intense pains around my hips and lower back, so I turned around. So somethings messed up there, but I got it heated and took the next day off so hopefully i'll be fine the next time I run.

1.5 Mile warm and cool with 4 thousands and 2 300's. I didn't hit my best times, but I felt like I was pushing pretty hard through them. I got like a 4:09, 4:20 (i don't know what happened there), a 4:10, and then 4:11. I think one of my problems was just that i was dehydrated. For a few of them I felt like I was gonna hit the ground after I finished, but i didn't! 300's were pretty good though. I got a good push in, and finished with like a 1:01 for the first one, then a :54 for the second one. Which may not seem like the greatest, but after that work out I felt like I had just conquered the world.

Track Meet today! I raced two 400's, a 100, and a 800. With both of the 400's I got a 1:07, and I feel like I really pushed those. The 800 I could have done a lot better with my first lap, and then I just went all out with the second lap. Ended up getting a 2:46 ish...? So really not very good. and then the 100 was just whatever. Sprinted it, but my sprint compared to others isn't the greatest. Over all it was a pretty fun track meet though!

1.5 warm and cool with a 600, 400, 300, 200, and 100. I thought we were supposed to be hitting around race pace, so my 600 was a 2:05, and it was supposed to be around 2:30...the 400 was a 1:29, about dead on what we wanted to get, the 300 I got a :57, and I think it was about 5 seconds too fast or something, and then the 200 I got a :40, and the 100 was a :14. We either hit our times or faster, so it was a fun/good day!

1 Mile warm up with a 400 race. I got a 1:06.88. So a PR by about .12. But hey, it's still a PR!(: Did a little cool-down, and then after I got home I ran about 2 more miles to completely relax. I felt alright about this race. I really think I did push as hard as I could, I just don't have enough speed in me. The last 100 meters I got pretty dizzy and started blacking out. Especially after I finished my head was pounding really hard and I kept having black outs. So I'll focus on hydration, but other than that I gave everything into that race.

1 Mile warm up, with a 800 race. I think I got around a 2:35/36. But I'm not positive! It was a PR though. Felt pretty good, maybe I can pick up my first lap a little bit more. I felt like I really did push the first lap pretty hard, and then just got everything out the 2nd lap. But I wasn't puking, so I can go faster. I just gotta figure out where if i wanna start doing 800's.
